Torti Taco serves up traditional Mexican cuisine using family recipes from owner Javier Fortoso. This Battle Creek restaurant and catering business also features produce sourced from area growers. Michigan Good Food Fund first partnered with Tori Taco in our 2016 Business Boot Camp in Battle Creek. The relationship grew to include a $30,000 loan from Northern Initiatives in 2018 providing working capital and supporting equipment purchases. The business has since added three new positions, employing members of Battle Creekâs Hispanic community.
