Zilke Vegetable Farm

Since their start in 2009 on a modest five-acre plot, Vicki and Tom Zilke have grown Zilke Vegetable Farm into a key supplier of fresh, healthy food in Southeast Michigan. Located in Milan, the farm operates a 60-member CSA and a year-round retail shop and kitchen facility, established with the support of a loan from Northern Initiative.

This expansion not only increased the farm’s processing capabilities, but also made fresh produce available all year long, creating jobs and boosting the local food economy. Today, Zilke Vegetable Farm stands as a community cornerstone, offering a wide range of locally sourced produce and contributing to a healthier, more sustainable community.
