What does being selected as a Seed Award winner mean to you personally, and how does it reflect on the journey of your business so far?
What does being selected as a Seed Award winner mean to me personally; It means reassurance that vision is viable and deliverable. Additionally, it means help has arrived in my land spatial on my farm, It means that not only do I believe in me but so does Michigan Good Food Fund, Seed Award. How does it reflect on the journey of your my business. The Seed Award provides foundational support to place my organization inline and on time in the 2025 Grow season and beyond.
In what ways will the Seed Award funding support your immediate and long-term business goals?
The ways that the Seed Award will Support Treetop Grows Farm immediate is supporting our infrastructure and implementation of amenities to increase our production now and in the long-term. implementing our food production plans and implementing safe food infrastructure to support sustainable organic application.
Can you share your vision for the positive changes this award will enable you to make in your business and the broader community?
My vison of positive changes this award will enable Treetop Grows farm to make in my business and the broader community is to deliver Community Supported Agriculture leading and delivering Sustainable practices on the farm building sustainable cohesive community relationship.
What led you to start your business? What motivates you to do what you do?
What led me to start my business was a spiritual journey that connected me to nature, the land and my indigenous legacy from my Grand Parents who were descendants of the aboriginal people of America. To be honest my ancestry motivates me in what I do as they granted me the land. I purchased it; but, it was my ancestral leadership. They continue to lead and motivate me to honor the soil (Land) ,honor nature as myself.
