Michigan Good Food Fund works with food and farm businesses across our state’s food value chain, from growers to food retailers and anyone in between.

If you’re working with a back-of-the-napkin idea, you’re most likely not yet ready for our financing. While most of the entrepreneurs we support have been operating for at least one year, we do sometimes work with earlier-stage businesses run by business owners with industry experience, or entrepreneurs who have contributed their own funds to their startup budget.

We provide flexible, patient capital structured to meet your needs. Our loans range from $2,500 to $6 million.

Loan uses include working capital, inventor, equipment purchase, real estate acquisition, property improvements and expansion, business process upgrades, and more.

Each application undergoes a comprehensive committee review process, ranging from initial screening to final funding. This typically takes several weeks to four months to complete.

Upon approval, we will proceed to execute the loan agreement and disperse the funds. Our team will continue to serve as a partner, providing ongoing support for the business’s future growth and progress.
