SUMMARY:2026 Growth & Financial Fluency Food Business Cohort
DESCRIPTION:The Flint & Genesee Small Business Support Hub and the Michigan Good Food Fund are partnering to support growth-stage food businesses by helping entrepreneurs master their money\, grow their operations\, and gain the tools and resources needed for long-term success. \nTo participate\, interested applicants must submit the pre-application/LOI and a completed application by June 22\, 2026. Applications will be reviewed\, and selected participants will be notified during the week of June 29\, 2026. \nAll meetings will be held from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the Crim Fitness Foundation in Flint\, Michigan. \n\nKnowing Your Numbers – July 8\, 2026\nThis session will help food entrepreneurs gain confidence in the financial side of their business.\nPresenter: Ederique “Chef E” Goudia\nLicensing & Regulations – July 15\, 2026\nThis session will break down the essential licensing and regulatory requirements for food-based businesses.\nPresenter: Ederique “Chef E” Goudia\nMarketing & Customer Journey – July 22\, 2026\nThis session focuses on building meaningful customer connections and creating a strong brand presence.\nPresenter: Erika Tebbins\nGrowth & Scaling – July 29\, 2026\nThis session will provide entrepreneurs with the tools and strategies needed to grow and scale their business effectively.\nPresenter: Nesaa Bandele\n\nTo get started\, fill out the pre-application/LOI by June 22. \nApplicants will need to sign up for a free account with Grant Lifecycle.
